Getting to Hakone from Tokyo or Kyoto
From Shinjuku, take a direct Romancecar to Hakone-Yumoto. From Tokyo, Shinagawa or Kyoto, take a Shinkansen that stops at Odawara, then continue locally if needed. Lake Ashi meeting points require onward transport.

Your confirmation email names the exact meeting point and time. Our business address in Sengokuhara is not the meeting point for these tours. Choose your tour below before buying transport tickets.
Odawara StationShinkansen gateway · Temple Forest Walk and Onsen meeting point
The Temple Forest Walk and Onsen meets at Odawara Station. Odawara is also the main Shinkansen gateway to Hakone. Not every Shinkansen service stops here, so check your train before boarding. From Odawara, the Hakone Tozan line continues to Hakone-Yumoto.
Hakone-Yumoto StationMeeting point for Hachiri, Valley Walk and the regular Caldera tour
The half-day Hachiri, full-day Hachiri, Valley Walk and regular Caldera tour meet here; follow any alternative arrangement in your confirmation.
The direct Odakyu Romancecar from Shinjuku has reserved seats. You need both the base fare and a limited-express ticket. Travellers arriving by Shinkansen transfer at Odawara to the local train for Hakone-Yumoto.
Moto-Hakone PortMeeting point for Introductory Shinrin-yoku
Introductory Shinrin-yoku meets at Moto-Hakone Port beside Lake Ashi. Several bus routes serve this area, and road traffic can affect journey time. Use the official route search on the day and leave extra time before the meeting.
Hakone-enMeeting point for Lakeshore Shinrin-yoku
The Lakeshore Shinrin-yoku experience meets at Hakone-en. The Introductory Shinrin-yoku experience meets at Moto-Hakone Port. These are different meeting points: check the tour name and location in your confirmation before travelling.
Moto-Hakone has onward bus services towards Hakone-en. Check the destination and timetable: not every lake-area bus stops there, and pass coverage depends on the operator. Use Breathe Hakone’s travel guide or ask Aki about the route from your hotel.

Check tickets, transfers and live services
The Hakone Freepass is optional. Compare its covered routes with your actual itinerary; it does not replace a Romancecar limited-express ticket. Hakone buses and trains can be affected by weather, maintenance and road traffic. Check the official Hakone Navi service information before departure and keep your tour confirmation open on your phone.

Travelling with a suitcase? Compare Hakone luggage forwarding and lockers, then plan a half-day walk around your ryokan stay.
Compare the walking level, meeting point and length of each tour, then build your journey around that choice. For a longer stay, use our 1-, 2- or 3-day Hakone itinerary. Book at least 24 hours before the scheduled tour starts (Japan time).
