At Coconuts Hike Japan, we understand that plans can change. This policy applies to direct bookings made with us.
All deadlines use the time we receive your request and the scheduled tour start in Japan Standard Time (JST, UTC+9).
1. If you cancel
If you cancel: cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled start time (Japan time) for a full refund. One free date change by the same deadline, subject to availability. Less than 24 hours before: no refund and no free date change. No-show: no refund and no rescheduling.
2. Weather and safety
Light rain and ordinary mountain weather normally go ahead. The guide decides whether conditions are unsafe.
If we cancel for unsafe conditions (typhoon, heavy rain or snow warning, lightning, strong wind, trail closure, volcanic alert): you choose a full refund or a new date.
A new date is subject to availability; your refund choice is not.
3. Third-party and existing bookings
Bookings made through Airbnb, Viator, GetYourGuide or Klook follow that platform’s policy. Bookings already confirmed before 12 October 2026 keep the terms they were booked under.
